Epitaph bearing an inscription in Latin.
You read: ]ORIO ABASCANTO PREPVSA LIB · FECIT IN F · P · VIII ] IIII.
Transliteration: ]orio Abascanto Prepusa lib(erta) fecit in f(ronte) p(edes) VIII [in agro pedes ?]IIII.
Translation: “Prepusa, a freedwoman, made (this) for [?]orio Abascanto. (The tomb is) 8 feet wide, ? feet deep.”
Reconstruction of the epitaph (CIL): [D(is) M(anibus)] [Art]orio Abascanto Prepusa lib(erta) fecit in f(ronte) p(edes) VIII [in ag(ro) p(edes) VIIII].
